Ghana–Israel Cybersecurity Breakfast Meeting deepens collaboration on digital security

Held at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra, the high-level breakfast meeting was organised by the Economic and Trade Mission of Israel to Ghana, in collaboration with the Israel Export Institute (IEI) and the Cyber Security Expert Association Ghana (CSEAG). The engagement was held under the theme, “Linking Markets, Securing Systems: Ghana-Israel Cybersecurity Partnerships,” with discussions focused on strengthening cybersecurity cooperation, digital innovation and business partnerships between Ghana and Israel. The meeting was led by Francesca Nouna Ndinya and featured opening remarks from Guy Kruger of the Foreign Trade Administration of Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry, and Dan Shiff of the Israel Export Institute. Both speakers highlighted the importance of deepening Ghana-Israel relations in cybersecurity and digital innovation, particularly as businesses, institutions and governments face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. CSEAG highlights Ghana’s cybersecurity landscape Speaking at the breakfast meeting, President of the Cyber Security Experts Association of Ghana, Abubakar Issaka, shared insights into Ghana’s evolving cybersecurity landscape. He also highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships and the opportunities available to Israeli cybersecurity companies seeking to collaborate with organisations in Ghana. The discussions emphasised the need for stronger cooperation between the public and private sectors, as well as greater investment in technologies and expertise capable of improving Ghana’s digital resilience. Israeli cybersecurity firms showcase solutions A key feature of the breakfast meeting was a series of technical presentations by leading Israeli cybersecurity companies, including Prelysis, Envoid, DeviceTotal and TripleP, among other industry players. The companies showcased innovative cybersecurity solutions designed to protect enterprise infrastructure, identify emerging threats and strengthen organisations’ ability to respond to cyber incidents. The presentations offered participants an opportunity to understand emerging technologies and explore how they could address cybersecurity challenges facing Ghanaian businesses and institutions. B2B sessions open doors for partnerships The meeting also featured dedicated business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions, allowing Ghanaian institutions and Israeli cybersecurity firms to engage directly and explore potential partnerships, business opportunities and areas for knowledge exchange. The organisers expressed appreciation to the Embassy of Israel in Ghana, speakers, facilitators, participating companies, cybersecurity professionals and other stakeholders for their contribution to the success of the breakfast meeting. The Ghana–Israel Cybersecurity Breakfast Meeting ultimately provided a platform for both countries to strengthen existing relationships while identifying new opportunities to build a more secure and resilient digital ecosystem.
